Opera Unmasked – Arias and Anecdotes (selling fast! limited seats!)
The T‑Shirt Opera Company presents Opera Unmasked – a relaxed, entertaining dinner and concert experience upstairs at The Victoria Hotel. With a mixture of storytelling and singing, this event promises to be both entertaining and enlightening for both seasoned opera lovers and people curious to explore it for the first time. The show is also a celebration of Melbourne’s up-and-coming opera performers who are all graduates of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.

The Marriage Game – Highly Strung Players
The Highly Strung Players, an absurdist troupe founded by author Peter Rose, returns to the Woodend Winter Arts Festival with three short plays from Rose’s six-part series The Ones. In these rehearsed readings we meet two married publishers at different stages in their long, brittle relationship. An evening of witty, irreverent repartee is guaranteed.

Piano Masterclass with Elena Kats-Chernin and Tamara-Anna Cislowska (limited places!)
In a Festival first, WWAF is giving young pianists (AMEB Grade 8 or above) the exclusive opportunity to receive expert feedback from two of Australia’s most acclaimed musicians – Elena Kats-Chernin and Tamara-Anna Cislowska. Solo and duet applications are welcome (duets preferred). Applications are now open. Members of the public are invited to witness the young musicians and maestros in action.

Ensemble Area 57: VCASS VCE Student Recital – Young Virtuosos
AREA 57 is a dynamic collective of young musicians blending jazz‑trio energy with the richness of classical cello. Formed at Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in 2025, their Woodend Winter Arts Festival program spans jazz and classical works by Claude Bolling, David Baker and more – showcasing remarkable versatility and virtuosity.
Tickets are free for children and just $10 for adults.
